E2511-WB Eddy Current Testing-Fundamental Principles (Web Based Training) Eddy current testing is based on the principles of electromagnetic induction. "Electromagnetic induction"—two words that are used to identify a principle that allows you to use electricity that has been generated hundreds of miles away, a principle upon which the actual generation of the electric current is based, a principle that causes your electric motor to operate, and now a principle upon which a broad field of nondestructive testing is based. This course is designed to provide the foundation of understanding needed by the trainee to begin his use of this very effective method of nondestructive testing that is broadly used throughout industry for the discovery of flaws in fabricated materials. Note: The Level III Answerman Phone Support Program provides phone support to answer all of the student’s questions as he/she progresses through the course.
